World of Coke Coca-Cola Robot is fully remote-control operated robot.
Coke commissioned the build of this full scale robot to use in promotional appearances in the early 1980's at the World of Coke in Underground Atlanta. Parts are Radio Shack components, built on a electric wheelchair system. The robot lights up, turns his head. It stands about 5 ft. tall. The dome can turn around with flashing light; The face of the dome says "SMILE," and/or "Coke Is It."; Coke logo can be put on the front and/or back of the body. The remote control can; move the robot around, control the dome, turn on the track player to play the selected track. It comes with its own shipping crate on wheels. Weight is close to 80 pounds. The robot original equipment is headphones, microphone, controls, etc. The range of controls is around 40-50 feet.
